Who we are?

United Kingdom Telugu Hindu Organization (UTHO)

was established in June 2017 with the primary objective to unite Telugu-origin Hindu families residing in the UK to fostering unity, preserving the rich cultural heritage and values of the Telugu and Hindu community.


UTHO's initiatives encompass various facets of community engagements such as cultural events, educational programs, social gatherings, and more. Through these endeavors, we aim to celebrate our heritage, instill pride in our cultural roots and create a platform for individuals to connect, learn, and grow together.

Mission

UTHO conducts diverse cultural, social, and educational programs to strengthen community bonds and promote unity. Guided by the principles of Sanskar (cultural refinement), Sewa (selfless service), Sanghatan (organization), and Shiksha(career connect) UTHO's initiatives encompass organizing cultural events, religious rituals, community service programs, career guidance and actively supporting pro-Hindu and pro-India campaigns

The UTHO Parivar Shibir is an annual event uniting Telugu Hindu families in a celebration filled with cultural activities, engaging workshops, and insightful sessions. It fosters togetherness, promotes cultural values, and inspires active participation within the community

UTHO Yuva Career Connect aims to support youth in navigating their career paths and achieving their professional aspirations

UTHO Yuva Career Connect guides young Telugu Hindu community members in their education and careers. Using Stack Overflow for Teams, we offer a secure platform for private Q&A, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, enhancing our mentoring and support for youth.

The UTHO Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, partnered with Sewa UK, is a fundraising trek conquering three Yorkshire Dales peaks. Participants raise funds for Sewa UK, promoting adventure while supporting charitable causes

UTHO UK-Parliament Week

UTHO's UK Parliament Week event educates young Telugu Hindus on parliamentary functions, encouraging active civic engagement in societal issues, fostering informed participation in shaping a better community

UTHO's Sewa and Vanavasi projects offer aid to underserved communities. Sewa initiatives encompass education, healthcare, and disaster relief, while Vanavasi projects focus on empowering tribal communities through education, healthcare, and sustainable development efforts
