UTHO had an inspiring and interactive session in Rugby On Saturday 7th December at Lawrence Sheriff School Clifton Road Rugby, as part of UK Parliament Week 2024, with 90+ participants, including students, parents, and community members. Distinguished guests like MP John Slinger, Councillor Ish Mistry, Councillor Ramesh Srivastava, and Toby Bell joined us, sharing valuable insights on democracy and governance. The engaging debate topic was: "Should AI Be Regulated?" 🗳️🤖 Thank you to everyone who made the event successful!

UTHO had a remarkable gathering as part of UK Parliament Week 2024 in Milton Keynes On Saturday 30th November 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm. Watling Primary School, Whitehouse, Milton Keynes, MK8 1GB, with over 70+ participants, including enthusiastic students and parents. We were honored to have Local MP Chris Curtis and Deputy Mayor Councillor James Lancaster join the event, sharing their perspectives on democracy and governance. The interactive debate on "Is Increasing University Fees Justifiable?" sparked thought-provoking discussions, encouraging young minds to actively engage in democratic processes. UTHO conducted UK Parliament Week in Birmingham on Sunday 1st December 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm at Shree Hindu Community Centre, Warwick Road, Tyseley, Birmingham B11 2JP. An engaging and interactive event with 25+ participants, including students, parents, and special guests. We were honored to have Cllr Shesh Sheshabhatter, Cllr Prish Sharma, and Cllr Wazma Qais, who shared their insights on governance and democracy. The thought-provoking debate on “Should Free Meals Be Extended to Secondary Schools?” inspired participants to actively engage in discussions about policy-making and democratic values. An enriching session as part of UTHO UK Parliament Week saw 20+ attendees, including students and parents, engage in a thought-provoking debate on “Should Social Media Be Banned for Under-16s?”. Honored by the presence of MP Luke Taylor and Councillor Sunita Gordon, the event encouraged critical thinking and democratic awareness among the younger generation. It took place on Saturday, 7th December, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at Wood Field & Oak Field Primary School, Stanley Park Rd, Carshalton SM5 3HW.
